Must Read : Shadow Network
“They tended to think of themselves as God’s chosen people. Therefore, it was easy for them to combine politics, patriotism, and religion.” 2 hundreds years ago but replace Baptists by the MAGA, Evangelist, Alt-right, White-supremacist swarm and today’s America is at a similar crossroads. Baking a healthy moderation strategy is a mix of communication and code
This is just an example from another startup, with a team of 16, currently taking moderation very seriously, I’ve taken the liberty to copy it on my blog because I think it’s a great example that shows the very clear intentions at Spoutible regarding racism. Spoutible stance on moderation and racism As a responsible platform, we are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all our users. Unfortunately, yesterday we witnessed a disturbing trend of racist behavior on our platform. Continue reading â

Odd bug in the android mobile app?
I’m trying to understand…. why should I have to select my default blog when I want to publish? The selector (in the official android app) is always positioned on my test blog which I mostly never use or only to test theme changes… so if I’m distracted I might publish to my test blog..it’s.. Annoying… No issue when using the browser. Is this related to a misconfig on my side? @manton. Continue reading â

How to use the bluesky invite code finder ?
All I can say is that, this bluesky-invite-code-finder works ! #bluesky but before using it, apply the pull request to support the new invite format code. Add your twitter bearer token (you need to create a twitter app) Add desired bsky username, make sure it’s available Add your email For some reason I could not, at first, login with the password I had set in the main.js file, so I went to reset my password, got sent an email from bluesky, changed to a new password and voilĂ ! Generation X / Millennial Overlap, in between worlds
I was born on October 29, 1980, which technically places me in Generation X, which spans those born from 1965 to 1980. So, while technically I would fall into Generation X, I may identify more with Millennial characteristics, given I’m on the very edge of these generational divisions. This is all very subjective of course but often, I do feel in between two periods while not belonging to any of them for all kinds of reasons. Continue reading â

Book extract: Cultish, the language of fanaticism by Amanda Montell
I keep coming back to this book because, it’s literally a gem everyone should read and I think parents should give it to their teenagers and friends to their friends in any obvious spiritual quest of their own. This book is like a detoxification manual for the internet age and the era of shared delusions amplified by influencers and gurus 2.0 It’s a must read to, actually stay grounded, and navigate what’s inevitably around us with a working BS detector.

Liberating Ourselves: The Call for Action Over Idolization
Influencers, geniuses, self-made men’s myths In a world captivated by the allure of heroes, gurus, and stars, it is time to relinquish our addiction and embrace the power within ourselves. Instead of lavishing admiration upon others and becoming ensnared by the mirage of projected qualities, let us cultivate the very attributes we so eagerly attribute to others - but within our own selves. Imagine a world transformed from its current state, spellbound by the influence of heroes, stars, and gurus, into one where we embody the virtues we admire so deeply. Continue reading â

Embracing the Unknown: Discovering Courage and Resilience Through Sacrifice
At times, we find ourselves undertaking arduous and trying tasks. We embark on these endeavors not because we possess a clear understanding of what lies ahead, but rather due to our ignorance of the obstacles that lay ahead. It’s comparable to running a marathon, where we hold onto a steadfast belief in our ability to accomplish it, despite having no conception of the sheer effort required. It seems that the courage required to take on such challenges can only manifest when we remain oblivious to the sacrifices and tribulations that await us. Continue reading â

I’m storing this here because people need to find this and have access to this and help relay this, it’s too important that knowledge be shared and accessible. Pasted from Reddit Scihub sub https://www.reddit.com/r/scihub/comments/12detqs/standard_template_construct_store_and_search_the/ We are creating free, unblockable, and easily clonable library for both people and machines, living entirely in IPFS and working without any centralised server. How is #DARVO used in the context of Tibetan Buddhism ?
DARVO stands for Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim and Offender. It is a manipulation strategy used by perpetrators or their followers to deflect responsibility and blame the victims or the people doing the criticism. In the context of Tibetan Buddhism, where a strong culture of loyalty and reverence towards spiritual masters exists, DARVO can be particularly effective in silencing victims and maintaining the status quo. In such a context, DARVO may be employed as follows: Continue reading â
