More than a thousand #Twitter employees and contractors as of earlier this year had access to internal tools that could change user account settings and hand control to others, two former employees said, making it hard to defend against the hacking that occurred last week.
The recipe I'm using to publish as of now :
Updates on my blog can take several forms, a simple link I want to bookmark to read later, a status update with or without a link, a picture, audio, video, event, geo checkin etc.. It could also be a long post format about something specific I'm ranting about or passionately want to share with the world. The point is, I'm trying to create value and data on my blog first and thanks to the wonders of #micropub #Indieweb #webmentions I can push what I create on my blog to different social media platforms : birdy site is still a place, even tho I find myself pushing to #fediverse more often than I push to Twitter.
By using WithKnown & it's different plug-ins (Twitter, Mastodon, Facebook pages) I can publish on my blog, push copies to silo networks or the fediverse and cherry on top of the cake : get reactions to my posts on silo networks or on the fediverse to be pulled back to my website original post, as if these reactions (Comment, retoot/retweets/shares/favs/likes) were all different kinds of interactions, no matter where they come from on the web.
And of course if you own an #Indieweb compatible website / blog you can use my URL to comment directly on your website and it will stack up like any other reaction chronologically under my original post.
That's the web we should build while these pivot in behavior slowly dephase the silo networks out of our lives and we proclaim the Open Web to be "The Social Network" it should have been in the first place.
Need any help?
What if a service was able to scan your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok activity and exposure to "the feed" and generate once a week, a nice report about everything you missed in the news?
The service would work by connecting your different accounts to it, monitor your feed for what you are exposed to, including ads, monitor what you share from outside of the platform and compile once a week a nice bubble-free list of links that you could fine tune by topics or category that you are interested to, so that when the report would be generated, you would have actual content that has 90% chance to hit your interests radars and actually inform, break bias, bring factual information able to educate & nurture one's belief systems.
Do you know any sort of implementation of this idea?
This seems to be a good summary of what enfolded.. And it doesn't seems to be over @twitter, something around Identity on the web should be done.. This is too easy!
